AT&T* has expanded its 5G network in Nevada County, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. A new cell tower will enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network.1
This new site will enhance AT&T’s coverage and capacity in areas along the south side of Prescott, including the vicinity of Prescott High School.
“As a father and a business owner, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of a strong wireless network,” said Arkansas state Sen. Steve Crowell (District 3). “It keeps people connected, brings business and customers together, expands educational resources and is a lifeline in emergencies. Announcements like this show the Legislature’s work to encourage private investment in advanced technology is paying off for the people of Arkansas and the Third District.”
The new site will also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area. Band 14 is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet®. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. In an emergency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked just for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.
“We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected,” said Lisa Lake, Regional Director of External Affairs for AT&T Arkansas. “AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 290 million people in over 24,000 cities and towns nationwide, including Nevada County. This helps residents and businesses get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.
From 2020-2022, AT&T invested nearly $725 million in its wireless and wireline networks in Arkansas to connect more people to greater possibility.
