AT&T Boost Network Speeds for Cass County

AT&T* has expanded its 5G network in Cass County, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. A new cell site will enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network.1

This new site will enhance AT&T’s coverage and capacity in Peculiar and surrounding areas, including along I-46.

“Among the many things I learned in the Marines was the importance of a reliable communications network for keeping people connected, anytime, anywhere,” said Missouri state Sen. Rick Brattin (District 31). “And whether we’re talking about small businesses reaching their customers, parents staying in touch with their kids or first responders dealing with an emergency call, the connection is critical. That’s why I strongly support public policies that keep Missouri a state which attracts private investment in advanced communications infrastructure.”

These enhancements also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area. Band 14 is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet® and is essentially public safety’s VIP lane. In an emergency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked just for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.

“We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected,” said Madeline Romious, Regional Director of External Affairs, AT&T Missouri. “And AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 290 million people in over 24,000 cities and towns nationwide. This helps Missouri residents and businesses get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.”

From 2020 to 2022, AT&T invested nearly $3.1 billion in our wireless and wireline networks in Missouri. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
