One of our core values at AT&T is making a difference in our communities. Approximately 20 tornadoes struck South Carolina last week, destroying homes and businesses. To support those whose lives have been uprooted, AT&T is contributing $30,000 to local food banks.

“While our state and nation are battling the uncertainties around the global pandemic, many South Carolinians have found themselves also facing the problem of hunger in the wake of the storms,” said Jane Sosebee, President AT&T South Carolina. “We appreciate the organizations which are helping to meet those needs and are pleased to support them.”
Organizations which will receive funding are:
- Harvest Hope Food Bank, Columbia;
- Golden Harvest Food Bank, Aiken;
- Lowcountry Food Bank, Charleston; and
- Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
In addition to serving individuals and families struggling with food insecurity throughout the year, these organizations are being challenged to also meet the needs of tornado victims.
