Connecting Students to Devices in Catoosa

Our team in Oklahoma has been focused on doing what we can to help close the digital divide across the state as part of our AT&T Connected Learning® initiative. We launched this initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. We are committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.

I traveled to Catoosa to join my Tulsa-area colleagues to distribute 50 laptops to students from Catoosa Public Schools. AT&T teamed up with Human I-T to get the laptops to students in Catoosa. It was inspiring to see the students’ excitement when they received this tool that’s the modern-day pen and pencil.

I had the honor of meeting so many students and families, including Jacquelyn Gonzales from the local PTA. Here’s what she told me: “Our community is working together to make sure our kids have access to the tools and resources they need for success in school. Technology tools, in particular, are very important. That’s why we are appreciative of AT&T for making these laptops available to our students.”

We are proud to collaborate with organizations like Human I-T to help close the digital divide in Catoosa and across our state. Connectivity is vital for students, and we’re glad we can provide these resources to those that need them most.
