Celebration of Freedom

Mesa’s Celebration of Freedom has become an annual tradition, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to commemorate the birth of our great nation. AT&T Fiber was a proud sponsor of the Celebration of Freedom, and I was grateful to attend the event to celebrate Independence Day.

AT&T was founded 100 years after the founding of our nation. It was in 1876 when Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, the foundation of the company that would become AT&T. Fast forward to today, we continue to connect Americans to a brighter future and Mesa is leading the way!

The strength of the Mesa community was evident at the event—with over 40,000 people who chose to come together on a hot Arizona night to celebrate the community and our Nation.

Seeing the Mesa community’s focus on the future, we’re proud to expand our award-winning fiber internet service to bring reliable, high-speed broadband to local residents. With the power of fiber connectivity, Mesa can have better access to education, jobs and healthcare for today—and tomorrow.

It was great talking with Mayor John Giles about what our fiber expansion means to the residents of Mesa. I was honored to celebrate the City of Mesa with him. With the leadership of the Mayor and Councilmember Heredia alongside many others, the City of Mesa has been a great champion for AT&T and our commitment to the residents.

As Mayor Giles said, “AT&T has always shown tremendous commitment to Mesa, helping to increase connectivity for residents and supporting education initiatives like the Mesa College Promise. Given their stellar track record of giving back to their community, it’s not surprising that they would step up and support such a worthwhile community event.”

I hope everyone had a wonderful celebration of our nation’s independence!
