AT&T Foundation Donates $60,000 to Help Vulnerable Residents in Baltimore

Nonprofits that help the homeless and other vulnerable residents in Baltimore are facing immense challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the AT&T Foundation is helping local organizations serve their clients during this crisis.

“One of AT&T’s core values is to Be There when people need us.  Now more than ever, Baltimore’s most vulnerable residents – and the organizations that support them – need help.”

Denis P. Dunn, President – AT&T Maryland, Delaware and Washington, DC.

“One of AT&T’s core values is to Be There when people need us.  Now more than ever, Baltimore’s most vulnerable residents – and the organizations that support them – need help, and we’re glad that we’ve been able to provide some support,” said Denis Dunn, president, AT&T Maryland, Delaware and Washington, DC.

The AT&T Foundation has contributed to the following organizations:

Healthcare for the Homeless:  A $20,000 grant will support operating expenses for front-line clinical staff at Healthcare for the Homeless who are working to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in Baltimore by providing care, screening and testing for people without homes.

Moveable Feast:  The $15,000 grant will support Moveable Feast’s meal program during the COVID-19 crisis to ensure that medically tailored meals, supplies and groceries can be delivered to its clients suffering from life-threatening illnesses in Baltimore.

St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore: A $25,000 grant will help cover increased expenses for food, PPE and sanitizing products so that the emergency homeless shelters can safely respond to the higher demand resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grants are part of a nationwide commitment by AT&T and the AT&T Foundation to provide much needed support for first responders, medical personnel and others impacted by COVID-19. The effort kicked off with a $1.5 million contribution to World Central Kitchen. We’re also supporting Feeding America, the Salvation Army and Team Rubicon.  AT&T will also be collaborating with a host of additional local organizations in communities most impacted by the pandemic.
