AT&T Contributes $10,000 to the Southwest Valley Early Childhood Association in Villisca

AT&T Iowa today announced a $10,000 contribution to the Southwest Valley Early Childhood Association to support the opening of the childcare center. The contribution will be used to fund the costs of opening of the center.

AT&T call center employees advocated for these funds to be dedicated to the opening of the Southwest Valley Early Childhood Center to serve the children and families of their community. AT&T’s support acknowledges the importance of high-quality, safe and affordable childcare in Southwest Iowa, the community where AT&T employees live and work.

“AT&T knows that high-quality, safe childcare brings peace of mind for Iowans.”

Dustin Blythe – External Affairs Director, AT&T Iowa

“AT&T knows that high-quality, safe childcare brings peace of mind for Iowans,” said AT&T Director of External Affairs Dustin Blythe. “From a business perspective, we want local families to know that we recognize the need and support the goal of that standard of childcare.”

“We’re delighted that our employees recommended such an important and helpful organization. The childcare and development services provided by the Southwest Valley Early Childhood Center are vital to parents and the community,” Blythe said.

“We are grateful for AT&T’s support, which allowed us to fund initial costs to open the center to serve the children and families in our community. We appreciate the confidence and support AT&T,” said Abbey Schafer, director of the Childhood Center.

“Safe and affordable childcare is a much-needed resource for hardworking families in Southwest Iowa. We appreciate AT&T meeting the needs of children and families in our corner of the state,” said Rep. Cecil Dolecheck (R-Mount Ayr). “Making investments and creating these types of partnerships will continue to be a priority of the Legislative session.”
