AT&T and the AT&T Foundation donate to iJAG
AT&T, the AT&T Foundation, and Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) are pleased to announce a $25,000 contribution to the program in 2022.
iJAG is a premier non-profit organization connecting business and education to provide the most cost-effective dropout prevention and school to career solutions in Iowa. They have been serving vulnerable Iowa students for more than 20 years. Last year iJAG students earned a 97% graduation rate due to the innovative program and support of organizations like AT&T.
“We are so grateful for our collaboration with AT&T. Over the past 8 years, AT&T and the AT&T Foundation have contributed approximately $500,000 to help expand iJAG into over 50 new locations. It’s because of wonderful collaborators like AT&T and the AT&T Foundation that our iJAG students are able to engage in mentorships, apprenticeships, internships, and on the job training,” Laurie Phelan, iJAG President/CEO.
“Through our collaborations with employers like AT&T, iJAG young people are able to find relevance to their academic courses and career opportunities that lead to sustainable wealth. Thank you AT&T and Dustin Blythe for believing in “That Kid No Matter What!”
“AT&T is very pleased to support iJAG and the vital services they provide for at-risk and minority students in our state,” said Dustin Blythe, director, External Affairs, AT&T Iowa. “We are proud of our long term support of this program and the students who prosper due to their commitment and the quality of the iJAG program.”
At the check presentation event, held at the AT&T store at Paradise Point in West Des Moines, we heard from iJAG instructors and participants about the impact the program has had on young people in Iowa.
