Steven Rogers to Lead AT&T Indiana Government Affairs

AT&T has appointed Steven Rogers to the position of Vice President of External Affairs for Indiana. Rogers will lead AT&T Indiana’s policy advocacy efforts, government relations and corporate community affairs activities in the state.

Rogers will continue the company’s focus on wireless facility siting, broadband access and deployment, data security, critical infrastructure theft, digital privacy, closing the digital divide, and more.

“I look forward to expanding upon the important work that we have been doing across Indiana, and building upon our partnerships with government, business and civic leaders,” said Rogers. “Whether it is implementing the latest advancements in wireless, using innovative technology to solve community challenges, bridging the digital divide or supporting first responders through our FirstNet public safety network, AT&T is a company founded in connecting people.”

Rogers has been with AT&T for more than 25 years, joining the company in 2000. He previously served as Director of External Affairs for Indiana.

Rogers has spent his entire career in and around Indiana government, working as an executive assistant to Lieutenant Governor Joe Kernan, managing communications and policy for several agencies, including the Indiana Department of Commerce and the Department of Agriculture. Prior to joining Kernan’s staff, he served as the Political Director and coordinated campaign manager for the Indiana Democratic Party during the winning gubernatorial campaign of Frank O’Bannon in 1996.

Rogers serves on the Board of Directors of the Indy Chamber, the Indiana Sports Corporation, the Indiana Broadband and Telecommunications Association, the Indianapolis Urban League, OneZone Chamber and the Noblesville Parks and Recreation Board. He earned a BA in Political Science from Butler University, and lives in Noblesville with his wife, Anita, and their children, Ben and Olivia.

Rogers will be the main point of contact for AT&T in the state of Indiana.
