One of the most visible ways AT&T is honoring America’s 250th birthday is through the installation of specially designed, commemorative maintenance covers in 7 cities nationwide. These permanent markers recognize a historic national moment while drawing attention to the infrastructure that quietly and reliably keeps America connected.
Did you know? AT&T maintenance covers sit above our underground fiber network and allow easy access to our technicians to keep the network Americans rely on running.
They serve as a reminder that strong networks, much like a strong nation, are built to endure, often out of sight, but always essential.

AT&T employees are also coming together across the country to raise 250 American flags at company locations and events nationwide. Earlier this year in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the first phone call, we announced a $250 billion commitment to advance connectivity in the United States. This commitment is about investing in the connectivity America relies on and investing in the people that make America’s workforce thrive.
