It was a day of smiles, excitement, and new beginnings in Mesa!

As part of our ongoing efforts to help bridge the digital divide, we worked with Compudopt to provide 500 refurbished laptops to low-income students at Lowell, Longfellow, and Holmes Elementary Schools, as well as families that A New Leaf serves.

To kick things off, Mesa Councilmember Jenn Duff joined us, which was a testament to the power of community collaboration.

A New Leaf CEO Michael Hughes and Mesa Public Schools Director of Community Partnerships Renee Parker were also there to help kick things off. Their firsthand insights on how evident the digital divide is in the communities they serve were invaluable.

Laptops were given to students and families by AT&T employees and the enthusiasm was remarkable. It was inspiring to see our employees’ commitment to connecting our community.

This was truly a collaborative effort, and it was clear that it goes beyond technology. It’s about empowering families, supporting education, and building a foundation for a brighter future.
