The 2025 holiday season was made brighter thanks to AT&T Nevada’s collaboration with the
RennerVation Foundation—founded by Academy Award–nominated actor and Reno local
Jeremy Renner—to bring connection, opportunity, and festive cheer to Nevada foster youth.
With support from AT&T partner Human-I-T, two large-scale distribution events were held in
Southern and Northern Nevada, placing 450 laptops directly into the hands of youth in foster
care and supporting digital access at a time of year when connection matters most.
Strengthening Connections Across Nevada
As part of AT&T’s continued effort to help close the digital divide, the RennerVation Foundation was selected as the 2025 Nevada laptop distribution partner, aligning the two organizations’ shared commitment to supporting youth facing the greatest barriers to connectivity. Together, they coordinated two joyful, high-impact events: one in Las Vegas at Clark County’s GIVE JOY celebration, and one during the RennerVation Foundation’s annual Christmas on the Comstock event held in Virginia City—just outside Reno.
“Access to connectivity is vital in helping to bridge the digital divide, and we are glad we can
provide these resources to those who need them most, especially during the holidays when
these foster kids need our support the most,” said Omar Saucedo, State Director External
Affairs for AT&T Nevada.
These distributions also support AT&T’s nationwide goal to help 25 million people get and stay
connected by 2030, backed by a $5 billion commitment to digital access, affordability, and safe
digital adoption.
GIVE JOY in Southern Nevada: 200 Laptops Distributed
In Las Vegas, AT&T and the RennerVation Foundation joined Clark County’s GIVE JOY Holiday Toy & Gift Card Drive, which serves more than 3,200 children in foster care each year. At the Dec. 13 kickoff event, 200 refurbished laptops were provided to teens in foster care.
The GIVE JOY program mobilized an impressive 176 donors, sponsors and toy drive hosts, and 326 volunteers to ensure every foster child received holiday gifts and essential resources, highlighting the deep community support behind the event.
Christmas on the Comstock: 250 Laptops for Northern Nevada Youth
That same day in Northern Nevada, AT&T volunteers supported the RennerVation Foundation’s third annual Christmas on the Comstock celebration in historic Virginia City. The event welcomed 800 foster youth and their families for a festive day filled with activities, gifts, community connection, and surprise holiday moments.
There, AT&T distributed 250 laptops to youth from Reno and surrounding rural communities—helping ensure they have the digital tools needed for schoolwork, creativity, communication, and stability.
To honor the statewide collaboration, Jeremy Renner shared a message of gratitude and purpose:
“Nevada’s foster youth deserve every chance to learn, grow, and feel supported by their
community. Through this partnership with AT&T, we’re not just giving out laptops—we’re
opening doors. Connection creates opportunity, and opportunity builds confidence. I’m grateful that together we’re helping these young people with tools that empower them and their future.”

Volunteers at the Heart of the Impact
At both events, AT&T employees volunteered—greeting families, supporting youth with their new devices, and embodying AT&T’s belief that connection happens not just through technology, but through people showing up for one another.
The energy across both celebrations was warm, joyful, and full of anticipation for the
opportunities ahead. For many youth, these laptops will support school assignments, provide
reliable digital access, enable virtual counseling and learning, strengthen communication with
trusted adults, fuel creativity, and build confidence that comes from having essential tools of
their own.
