AT&T’s Statement on FCC Approval to Modernize Network Services

“The FCC’s approval of our application to discontinue copper-based services in about 10% of our wire centers marks a significant milestone as we continue to make progress transitioning our customers’ service from outdated copper-based services to newer services like AT&T Phone – Advanced, fiber and wireless. No customer will be left without voice or 911 service, and we’re committed to working with our customers throughout this transition. We appreciate FCC Chairman Carr and the Commission for their leadership in accelerating the modernization of our nation’s communications infrastructure.”
