AT&T Supports Local First Responders and Aid Organizations Following Flat Fire

The Flat Fire, which began spreading across Central Oregon in late August, quickly put more than 1,500 homes at risk. Over the course of the blaze, approximately 23,346 acres were burned, requiring the tireless efforts of nearly 1,000 fire personnel, including the dedicated team from the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Department.

Thanks to their leadership and the courageous efforts of firefighters statewide, the destruction was limited to just five homes and twelve other structures. Local aid organizations, including the American Red Cross, also played a critical role in supporting evacuees, providing more than 400 overnight stays during the evacuation period.

AT&T is honored to support this work with $25,000 in donations to aid first responders and evacuees. The contributions include $15,000 to the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Corps and $10,000 to the American Red Cross Cascades Region, recognizing the vital role these organizations play in keeping communities safe during emergencies.

We are proud to stand alongside those who devote themselves to safeguarding our communities. Their bravery and selflessness leave a lasting mark, and AT&T remains unwavering in our commitment to supporting such efforts across the state.
