AT&T Florida and the Miami Herald celebrate the 28th edition of the African American History Digital Calendar

Dear Friends,

Twenty-eight years ago, AT&T began — what has become — a long-running practice of creating a calendar documenting the historical contributions Black Americans have made in our communities.

AT&T has long recognized that strong and vibrant communities are good places to live, work and raise your families, and this project exemplifies our commitment. With that tradition in mind, AT&T is pleased to connect you to the 28th edition of the African American History Digital Calendar.

This calendar reflects the breadth and diversity of influence these leaders had in creating the strong foundation of today’s community. And so today I ask you to please join me in saluting these distinguished Black leaders who are exemplary role models for tomorrow’s generations.

This project would not be possible without our volunteer editors, and I would like to thank them at this time. They have spent countless hours on research and obtaining personal accounts from the honorees and their families to document the individuals who had noteworthy and beneficial impacts on their communities.

If you have questions about this calendar, please call Cristal Cole at (305) 202-4586.

Yours truly,

Joe York

President AT&T Florida
