AT&T Boosts Network Speeds for Dallas County

AT&T* has expanded its 5G network in Dallas County, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. A new cell tower will enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network1.

This new site will enhance AT&T’s coverage and capacity in the central part of Buffalo and areas to the south.

“Robust infrastructure is crucial for economic development,” said state Sen. Sandy Crawford (District 28). “While the highway network moves people and products, advanced communication networks drive commerce by connecting people, information and business. Investments like this tower are good news for the future of our district.”

The new site will also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area. Band 14 is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. In an emergency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked just for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.

We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected,” said Tracy King, Regional Director of External Affairs for AT&T Missouri. “AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 290 million people in over 24,000 cities and towns nationwide, including Dallas County. This helps residents and businesses get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.

From 2019 to 2021, AT&T invested more than $2 billion in its wireless and wireline networks in Missouri. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
