The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) continues to help people who are struggling due to the pandemic, thanks in part to a $10,000 grant from the AT&T Foundation.
AT&T’s grant will be dedicated to the MCCF’s COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund, which was established last March to help those affected by this unprecedented health crisis. The fund is focused largely on food insecurity, health and human services and childcare.
“COVID-19 has impacted the lives of many Hoosiers, and local organizations like the Montgomery County Community Foundation are stepping in and providing key resources to families in their time of need,” said State Rep. Tim Brown. “It’s great to see AT&T and the AT&T Foundation working with local nonprofits to help residents overcome some significant challenges during trying times.”
“It’s no surprise that the MCCF is stepping up to assist people in need right now, as they have always been a leader here,” said State Sen. Phil Boots. “I appreciate that AT&T and the AT&T Foundation are acknowledging their ongoing efforts with financial support.”
In 2020, MCCF distributed over $200,000 from the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund to help local organizations.
