Together, WarnerMedia and AT&T take great pride in our investment in Georgia and the work we do to keep millions connected every day to the people and things that matter most – including entertainment connections with movies, series and sports.
As productions have multiplied across Georgia, the local production infrastructure has, too. This infrastructure – including WarnerMedia’s state-of-the-art facilities at Techwood in Atlanta – helps foster a home-grown, Georgia-based professional workforce for the film industry.
When we began filming movies and series in Georgia, approximately 25 percent of the cast and crew called Georgia home. Today, nearly 90 percent of the cast and crew are Georgians! This speaks directly to incredible production education and training opportunities offered to our Georgia youth.
It is exciting to train, hire and advance Georgians in one of our state’s highest demand industries, and we are thrilled that our friends at the Georgia Film Academy have trained and graduated nearly ten thousand Georgians to work in our industry!
The local infrastructure and local workforce are proof that we are realizing our state’s plan to transform the once “fly-in” film business into an indigenous industry and economic driver for Georgians.
And, even amidst unprecedented COVID challenges, we have tens of thousands of Georgians safely working on movie and television series productions in locations all across our state. These production projects – including films like Black Adam and Shazam 2 and series like Legacies and The Go-Big Show – are injecting billions into our local economy and purchasing goods and services from over 17,000 Georgia small businesses.

This wouldn’t be possible without Georgia leaders’ work to create a pro-business environment that supports local investment and helps develop home-grown talent – from set designers to camera crew to post production editors and engineers to key small businesses like on-set caterers and lumberyards.
A big thank you to Georgia House leadership for creating the new standing Committee on Creative Arts and Entertainment and to the Georgia and Atlanta Film Offices, especially now as we safely have Georgians back at work.
