AT&T Supports Community Food Banks Across Iowa

Across the state, we have witnessed the growing need for food assistance by Iowa families, stretching the limits of local food banks and pantries.  In fact, in America there has been a 63 percent increase in demand at food banks and pantries as families cope with the effects of COVID19, according to the Feeding America organization.

That’s why AT&T is committed to providing much needed support for our communities during this difficult time.

“We are pleased to dedicate resources where they help the most.”

Dustin Blythe – External Affairs Director, AT&T Iowa

“These contributions to community organizations were the result of conversations with our employees, community and legislative leaders,” said Dustin Blythe, director, External Affairs, AT&T Iowa. “We are pleased to dedicate resources where they help the most, providing people with access to food and other needed services during this difficult time.”

To address the dire need many Iowa families have for basic necessities and food, AT&T contributed to the following organizations:

“People helping people is how Iowans respond to unprecedented times like we are experiencing right now with COVID-19,” said Gov. Kim Reynolds. “I’m so grateful to AT&T for their outstanding commitment and support of our Feeding Iowans Task Force. This is a meaningful investment in addressing food insecurity in Iowa.”

“The needs of those who are food insecure have grown significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and these dollars will go a long way in supporting the efforts of the Feeding Iowans Task Force,” said Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg, Chair of the Feeding Iowans Task Force. “I can’t thank AT&T enough for their donation to Iowa food banks and the Pass the Pork Program.”

These contributions are part of an initiative called Believe IowaSMBelieve Iowa is an employee-led initiative with the goal of creating positive change in our communities.  As part of Believe Iowa,  we are also providing contributions focused on broader community needs in response to the pandemic.  Our work will continue to evolve and grow in the coming months to help ensure we’re reaching the communities and people who need it the most.
