AT&T Statement on Spectrum IT Modernization Act of 2020

Today, the U.S. Senate advanced the Spectrum IT Modernization Act of 2020 (S. 3717), legislation requiring the information technology systems used by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to be upgraded. The following may be attributed to Tim McKone, AT&T Executive Vice President of Federal Relations:

“The National Telecommunications and Information Administration plays an integral role in overseeing the management, coordination and distribution of federal spectrum. The agency therefore must have at its disposal cutting-edge tools and technologies to enable it to quickly and efficiently put this critical resource to its best use. We appreciate Senators Wicker, Cantwell, Inhofe and Reed for making smart spectrum policies a priority and thoughtfully addressing the needs of both the private and public sectors.”
