AT&T Statement on Senate Approval of Commissioner Carr and Geoffrey Starks to FCC

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate approved the nominations of Commissioner Brendan Carr to a second term and Geoffrey Starks as Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The following statement may be attributed to Joan Marsh, AT&T Executive Vice President of Regulatory & State External Affairs.

“The approval of Commissioner Carr for a second term at the FCC is a huge win for consumers. He is a true champion for advancing 5G leadership in the U.S., and a driving force in making these next generation technologies and services a reality for all Americans.

“The addition of Geoffrey Starks to the FCC will be a tremendous asset to the agency as he brings vast experience in public service and an institutional knowledge of our industry’s issues.

“We’re excited to continue working with Commissioner Carr and his dedicated staff, and look forward to working with Commissioner Starks, who will no doubt hit the ground running. Much work remains to be done in removing barriers to critical infrastructure, and ensuring America is first in the world in 5G deployment.”
