AT&T Statement on Passage of Legislation to Improve U.S. Broadband Mapping

In passing S.1822, the Broadband DATA Act, the Senate continued the bipartisan efforts of the House, which passed H.R. 4229, the Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability Act (Broadband DATA Act), and H.R. 4227, the Mapping Accuracy Promotion Services Act (MAPS Act), earlier this week.  The following may be attributed to Tim McKone, AT&T Executive Vice President of Federal Relations:

“AT&T has long supported efforts to more accurately identify the availability of high-speed broadband throughout the United States. We applaud the bipartisan efforts by Congress to pass legislation that will lead to better reporting and more granular and accurate broadband maps, which will be a huge win for consumers.”
