AT&T Boosts Network Speeds for Claremore

AT&T* has expanded its 5G network in Claremore, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. A new cell tower along Maiden Lane will enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network.1

“Access to quality broadband services, especially in rural Oklahoma, is fundamental to increasing critical outcomes,” said State Senator Ally Seifried. “Broadband is essential to almost every aspect in modern life. Without the infrastructure to communicate and connect in today’s rapidly advancing world, children will fall behind, businesses will struggle, and communities will suffer. For these reasons and more we must continue to prioritize broadband expansion and ensure every individual has the tools needed to thrive.”

“The digital divide is more than just a gap in access; it’s a gap in opportunity,” said State Representative Mark Lepak. “By creating an environment welcoming of private investment in broadband, we level the playing field for all and foster economic growth in our communities big and small.”

The new site will also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area. Band 14 is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet®. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. In an emergency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked just for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.

“We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected,” said Steve Hahn, President, AT&T Central States. “AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 290 million people in over 24,000 cities and towns nationwide, including Claremore. This helps residents and businesses get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.”

From 2020 to 2022, AT&T invested nearly $925 million in its wireless and wireline networks in Oklahoma. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
